BIBLION: "A small book, a scroll, a written document. A sheet on which something has been written."
DAWG: Digital-Analog Weekly Grouping.

Biblion Dawg is a simple spreadsheet with supporting audio files, arranging the Bible into a 52-session reading & listening plan. Berean Standard Bible is the default text, given how much audio is available.

(Trust me, he can hear. Otherwise they'll fall off his head.)

Note: This is a pet project to help me read the Bible in a year. The preset sessions have not yet been fully worked through and may be tweaked based on experience and feedback. It's possible the AI-generated formulas for counts can be improved upon.

Biblion-Dawg.xlsx is the main project spreadsheet. Open in LibreOffice Calc or Microsoft Excel.

The SESSION folder stores Playlist ► m3u files, including music-backed alternatives (104 total).

2. Fetch Audio

Audio files used are available at OpenBible.com, split into book or chapter mp3 files:

Recommended (Chapters)

These are needed to use the listening plan. Bob Souer is an excellent narrator, by all accounts and metrics. Download the full zip files:

Index page: https://openbible.com/audio/souer/

Optional (Music and Books)

Download the mp3 files individually (manual or script). The zips contain chapter files, in my experience.

3. Store Audio

Put downloaded mp3 files in the AUDIO folders:

Deck (Chapters) Session Column O also has the 1-52 session assignments. Any changes to MAP need manually applying to Deck sheet as well. The playlist files will also need updating:

5. Timelines

Finally, the session chapter assignments were tweaked to fit timeline headings where possible:

Bob Souer

Old and New Testament audio

Grok paragraph: "Widely regarded as an exceptional narrator with decades of experience voicing Scripture (notably the complete NKJV Bible for Thomas Nelson). His clear, authoritative yet warm delivery and precise diction bring the Berean Standard Bible's literal-yet-readable style to life with clarity and spiritual resonance."

Jordan Scott Gilbert

Music-backed New Testament audio

Grok paragraph: "An award-winning Broadway producer, director, and singer with a rich, theatrical voice. His natural rhythm and emotional depth make him especially effective for music-backed audio, where orchestral scores blend seamlessly with his expressive yet reverent delivery, creating an immersive experience while preserving the text's clarity and dignity."

Orville James Nave

Top Nav = Nave’s Topical Bible (1896)

Grok paragraph: "Orville James Nave (1841–1917), a U.S. Army chaplain and Methodist theologian who served during the Civil War era, compiled Nave's Topical Bible over fourteen years of meticulous study (with assistance from his wife Anna). This public domain resource features over 20,000 topics with more than 100,000 Scripture references—widely regarded as the most detailed and scholarly topical index ever produced."

Reuben Archer Torrey

TTT = Torrey’s Topical Textbook (1897)

Grok paragraph: "Reuben Archer Torrey (1856–1928), an American evangelist, pastor, and educator who succeeded Dwight L. Moody at the Moody Bible Institute, authored Torrey's Topical Textbook as a practical Scripture reference tool. Organized around 628 main topics with over 20,000 verse references, this preacher-oriented public domain work is designed for efficient sermon preparation and teaching—providing a streamlined, application-focused alternative to broader topical indexes."
